This page defines the evidence required before Healthy Foods describes a recipe as kitchen-tested.
Current limitation
Existing recipes should not be assumed to have been independently kitchen-tested unless a dated record is available. Publishing a recipe is not, by itself, proof of testing.
Minimum test record
- Recipe title and version tested.
- Date, tester name, ingredient brands or material specifications, and exact quantities.
- Equipment, pan or container size, appliance settings, and relevant environmental conditions.
- Measured prep, cook, rest, cooling, storage, freezing, and reheating observations where applicable.
- Doneness checks, including internal temperature when food safety requires it.
- Yield and portion definition.
- Observed problems, changes made, and final result.
How claims are added
Only after the record is reviewed may the recipe state that it was tested. Any later material ingredient or method change requires a new or updated record.
Safety boundaries
Testing in one kitchen cannot guarantee identical results or eliminate allergen and cross-contact risks. Readers must use appropriate equipment, labels, current authoritative guidance, and their own judgment.
